We thought we were going home...

Well, we did go home for about 2 days.

We were released from Riverside Wednesday morning even though Claire was a little Jaundice.  The doctors were not overly worried about it at the time.

We had an appointment with our Pediatrician on Friday.  She said  the same thing but to make sure and watch her, and if she gets worse take her in for treatment.  Saturday morning we noticed that Claire was a little more sleepy and that she really didnt want to wake up or eat very much (both of which are signs of Jauncie).

We took her to Riverside Emergency room, they noticed her temp was low (96) and that she might be a little dehydrated.  Well, one thing led to aother, which led to an IV, which led to a spinal tap (the ER doctors weren't able to get any fluid) , which led us to CHKD, which led us to another Spinal tap, that landed her admitted to CHKD, which is where we have been since Saturday night!

The doctors where concerned about an infection, namely Menengities.  They have done cultures, and are filling Claire with Antibiotics, and we are waiting for the results from the tests which take 48 hours.  We saw the head doctor this morning and he said that as of then, there had been no signs of infection but we wouldn't be sure till tonight.

Claire is doing better. She is eating more and when she is awake she is more alert.  Her color has gone away (meaning she no longer has an orange tan and is white again) which is what she chould be because she has a couple of pale parents.  We are hoping to go home tomorrow morning, so just keep praying for us.

Thanks to all that have spread the word.  It has helped immensely just knowing the love and support we have.

I will try to update tomorrow to let everyone know what is going on!

PS- this is the short story of our adventure.  If you want to know all the details, give me a call...we'll talk, no big whoop.

So Far So Good!

We had a good night.  Katie slept just about all night.  She is having a little pain but they are control that with Ibuprofin.  Our pediatrician came in this morning and said that all of her tests came back good, so we are very thankful.  God has seen fit to bless us with another baby girl and I am in awe of his wonder and majesty.  Who am I that I should be blessed?  Thank you Jesus!

The picture lady came in this morning as well and we got a few pictures from them.  I tell you what, I am going to start my own baby buisness.  I cam going to create a baby lojack that is better then what they have now, and and offer pictures!  It's a gas!

Well here are the morning pictures of our new daughter...enjoy!claire 008

Claire is here!

One of the most incredible things I have ever witnessed or have been a part of is the birth of my two girls!  How great is our God.

So after a long day at the hospital, Claire joined us on the earth at 7:21pm.  She came out quick.  Almost before the doctor was in the room.

After Claire arrived Katie got to spend some time holding her.  With Graice we she didn't get that opportunity because Katie was sick, and Graice had some breathing issus.  It was a nice bonding time for her and Claire.  The family was at the hospital and they got the opportunity to see her and spend some time with us.  Gracie had spent the day with Katie's dad ans step mom, but they brought her to see us around 6:30.  After Claire came they were able to bring her in and be with us.

After the doctor gave the all clear, they took Claire to the nursery for vitals, medication, and a bath.  While I was with Claire, they moved Katie to her room and now we are chillin out!

What a day.  As of right now, visitors are welcomed.  We don't forsee any issues through the night but if there is, I will post in the morning!

Thanks again for all the prayers and we hope to be home and in a rutine (whatever that is) by Wednesday!
